Park View High – Production Systems

This is a specialization in the Manufacturing career cluster. This course is designed to introduce students to the world of technology and design. Students explore the use of cutting-edge technology in production of goods. Economic and social implications are considered. Students move through the problem-solving process to plan an organization and production facility, design and produce a prototype, develop a marketing plan for the product, and evaluate potential success. Students are expected to follow strict safety requirements when elements of instruction take place in the Technology Education production lab. Virginia’s Workplace Readiness competencies are also emphasized.
