This second-quarter course builds upon the topics presented in CISCO I. A significant portion of the curriculum is drawn from Cisco Networking Academy CCNAv7 courses, which will help students develop workforce readiness skills and build a foundation for success in networking-related careers and degree programs. Students achieve a basic understanding of how networks operate and how to build simple local area networks (LANs), perform basic configurations for router and switches, and implement Internet Protocol (IP). Upon completion of all three Cisco CCNAv7 courses, students will be prepared to take the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification exam. This course is part of the Loudoun Governor's STEM Academy.
