Year-long course covering a variety of subjects such as criminal investigations and forensic analysis.

Required year-long course for all seniors in the Criminal Justice Academy.

Topics include First Responder career opportunities, basic emergency planning, role of volunteer agencies, basic concepts of firefighting, preparation of written reports, and safety precautions including first aid and CPR. Students secure basic first aid and CPR certification.

Topics include emergency management leadership and administrative structure.

Continuation of Emergency Management and Response curriculum.

Advanced Emergency Management and Response course for seniors.

Foundational course that engages students in cross-curricular conversations that explore the complexities of academic and real-world topics and issues by analyzing divergent perspectives. Using an inquiry framework, students practice research and analytical skills.

Students deeply explore an academic topic, problem, or issue of individual interest. Through this exploration, students design, plan, and conduct a yearlong mentored, research-based investigation. Culminates in an academic thesis paper of approximately 5,000 words and a presentation with oral defense.
