In this course, students refine their musical technique and creative expression through advanced performance, composition, and production learned in previous Modern Band courses. They analyze how music is shaped by cultural and historical events and apply interdisciplinary knowledge to solve musical challenges. Students compose harmonic accompaniments, arrange ensemble pieces, and perform polyphonic repertoire with key changes and complex rhythms. Using DAWs and contemporary media tools, students explore music as a vocational and artistic pursuit. The course fosters independent musicianship, critical thinking, and artistic intent.
