Osborn High School – Ctc Auto Tech (Ase Cert) II

This course focuses student learning on the diagnosis and repair of suspension systems, steering systems, wheels and tires, drum and disc brake systems, and anti-lock brake/traction control systems. Students will also practice leadership, customer service, and teamwork skills. The culminating semester of this course focuses on automotive service repair competencies with an emphasis on professional service and diagnostic procedures. They learn the operation of automotive systems and perform hands-on job orders relative to: engine performance, brakes, steering/suspension, electrical/electronic systems, and engine repair. Students who successfully complete these courses are expected to take the Michigan Mechanic Certification Examination(s).
