Orange Grove High – Theatre Technology 1a-1b

This course offers the student opportunities to acquire and apply knowledge and skills in a variety of areas in theatre technology: theatre architecture, scenic design, construction, lighting, sound engineering, make-up and costume techniques, theatre management, and publicity design. Students will be introduced to major historical periods and cultural differences in architecture and clothing design to ensure period-correct productions. Students will also be exposed to creative expression through light and set design and will develop an aesthetic appreciation of good theatre technology applications.
