This course is designed to prepare the student to become as independent as possible in his/her living environment. Included in instruction is personal care, food preparation, and housekeeping skills. Goal areas include, but are not limited to, personal grooming and hygiene, dressing for the occasion, select, purchase, care, wear, and clean clothes(including hand-washing), selection/purchase/preparation of food, home maintenance, cook a meal with kitchen appliances, use a daily schedule and daily management. This course is designed for students enrolled in the Transition SH/SDC/Life Skills (Severely HandicappedSpecial Day Class/Life Skills) program who have current I.E.P. Notes: Grade Range $1 8 +$ /Transition. Pass/No Pass
Prerequisites: Enrolled in the SH-SDC/Life Skills Transition Program with a current I.E.P.
