Orange Grove High – Ag Skills/Projects-Community

This course provides students with the opportunity to strengthen their Supervised Occupational Experience Programs and Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs. Emphasis will be on intensive hands-on learning activities, which are conducted in the local community. Programs will include livestock projects, horticulture projects, floriculture projects, vegetable projects, agricultural mechanics projects, and agricultural work experience projects. FFA participation is required. Additional instruction will occur in the use of computers to manage these projects and award applications. Students will be required to maintain a California FFA record book and submit FFA award applications. Classes will meet two hours per week during zero and/or seventh period. This course may be repeated for duplicate credit.
Prerequisites: Student must have a supervised agricultural experience program (SOEP) as verified by an agriculture instructor.
