The fundamental topics of Mathematics III are: 1) functions and polynomials including division and the Factor Theorem; 2) sequences and series including Pascal’s Triangle and the Binomial Theorem; 3) statistical inference including probability and decision-making and the normal distribution; 4) trigonometry including identities, graphs, and application to triangles; 5) complex numbers and polynomials including graphs, and application to triangles; 6) polynomial and rational functions including secants and tangents; 7) exponential and logarithmic functions including properties, e, and natural logarithms. The enhanced topics include learning the trigonometric function of tangent and the three reciprocal functions secant, cosecant, and cotangent. Enhanced students will build and prove trigonometric formulas and identities. Students who successfully completed this course, as well as, Integrated Math II Enhanced, and Integrated Math I Enhanced will have completed sufficient PreCalculus curriculum in order to move onto Calculus and/or Statistics.
