Offered only at the Career and Technology Center. Student shadowing and application process required. See your counselor. This one-semester elective, available during the junior and senior year, provides students with disabilities the opportunity to experience a variety of work-related activities in a comprehensive, hands-on setting at the CTC. This course is NOT required to be recommended by the IEP team but should be selected in the course schedule in conjunction with a transition plan, and the student must be working toward a Maryland Certificate of Completion. Students observe and participate in simulated work experiences at CTC. These activities enhance their employability skills, increase their career awareness, and provide a comprehensive vocational assessment.
