This one-year STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, andMathematics) focused course is designed to provide a hands-onapproach to basic engineering concepts in robotic technologies. Areas ofemphasis include the development of robotics as an influence onmanufacturing and society, computer science concepts, and anintroduction to engineering with cross-curricular references tomathematics and science. Instruction will incorporate appropriate safetypractices and integration of diversity awareness including appreciation ofall cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriateuse of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills oneof the elective credits required for high school graduation.
