This one-year course is designed to provide Teacher Education programstudents with an understanding of patterns in human development from birth toadulthood. Stages of growth are studied as a basis for providing appropriatelearning activities commensurate with developmental ability. Theories ofhuman development are taught through experiential methods and utilized inplanning, observing and directing students' activities. In early childhood,elementary, middle, and/or high school settings, students complete actualclassroom observations and teaching activities. This course will fulfill one andone-half of the elective credits required for graduation.
