This one-year course is designed to provide Teacher Educationprogram students with an understanding of patterns in humandevelopment from birth to adulthood. Stages of growth arestudied as a basis for providing appropriate learning activitiescommensurate with developmental ability. Theories of humandevelopment are taught through experiential methods and utilizedin planning, observing and directing students' activities. In earlychildhood, elementary, middle, and/or high school settings,students complete actual classroom observations and teachingactivities. This course will fulfill one and one-half of the electivecredits required for graduation.
