This one-year course introduces Teacher Education Academy students theimportance of time management, classroom management, and organization.This course substantiates the need for an effective classroom managementsystem and teacher expectations that develop student self-responsibility andpromote positive growth in student behavior. It addresses the importance ofself-management in building a successful career in education. In earlychildhood, elementary, middle, and/or high school settings, students completeactual classroom observations and teaching activities. Instructional practiceswill incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of allcultures and their important contributions to our society. The appropriate useof technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one electivecredit required for high school graduation.
