This one-year course is designed for high school students who havesuccessfully completed an advanced orchestra course and/or havedemonstrated competency through audition and want to explore fullsymphonic orchestral ensemble performance techniques. Major topicsinclude advanced ensemble performance skills, live performanceopportunities, and the study of orchestral integration of diversityawareness including appreciation of all cultures and their importantcontributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integralpart of this course. This course fulfils either one of the elective credits orthe Arts/Humanities credit required for high school graduation and may berepeated.
