Northeast Guilford High – Honors Advanced Jazz Band

1 Unit This course provides students the opportunity to thoroughly develop their music reading skills and performance technique on wind or percussion instruments. The class will study and perform accelerated Jazz literature. Students may be expected to attend regional auditions and clinics as a condition for receiving Honors credit. Students may be expected to attend after school rehearsals and performances where participation is a required and graded portion of the course. An audition may be required.
