The Honors Accomplished Visual Art course is designed for highly motivated students who wish to advance their technical skills, critical thinking, and creative expression in the visual arts. This course delves deep into the relationship between art and its societal, cultural, historical, and political contexts, encouraging students to create sophisticated, original 2-D and 3-D artworks that reflect personal voice and contemporary issues. Students will explore advanced techniques in drawing, painting, printmaking, fibers, sculpture, ceramics, and digital media, while also examining the influence of new technologies on the field of visual arts.
