Independent Study in Technology Applications is designed to allow students to study technology applications foundations, such as technologyrelated terms, concepts, and data input strategies to communicate information in different formats to diverse audiences using a variety of technologies. Students practice making informed decisions to develop/produce original work appropriate to the selected profession or discipline and publish the product in electronic media and print. Skill-building in search strategies are utilized to access, analyze, and evaluate the acquired information. Individuals and groups solve problems, select the technology appropriate for the task, synthesize knowledge, create solutions, and evaluate the results. This course may be taken up to three times for state elective

Prerequisites: A minimum of one credit from the courses in the Information Technology Career Cluster and permission of the instructor/mentor for Independent Study in Technology Applications.
