This course is a basic introduction into the field of athletic training and sports medicine. Students study the anatomy and physiology of the skeletal and muscular systems, and kinesiology as they relate to the prevention, evaluation and care of athletic injuries. Students learn and practice emergency medical care for athletes, and taping techniques.
