North Stafford High – Master Barbering II

Prerequisite: A passing score of $70 %$ and a minimum of 325 hours earned in Master Barbering I is a requirement to meet clinical hours mandated by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). Students apply their knowledge of barbering skills in a clinical lab setting, using mannequins and live models for manipulative practice. Students develop skills and technical knowledge relating to hair coloring, facials, and selection of commercial materials. Mastery of 840 hours and successful completion of 490 required state competencies prepare the students for the Virginia state licensing exam.
