North Stafford High – Drafting: Architectural

This course focuses on creating code compliant architectural drawings focusing on residential design. The student learns to prepare site plans, floor and foundation plans, electrical plans, elevations, wall sections and structural details. Both manual and CAD techniques are taught and utilized, with the focus on CAD using Autodesk design software. Portfolio projects will be interspersed throughout the course, culminating with the student’s own residential house design. All students may take the ADDA International Architectural Drafter Certification Exam as part of this program.
