Note: The work in this course requires that the student comply with the regulations of the Virginia Health Department in preparing and serving food sold to the public. This course provides instruction in skills related to food preparation, development of personal qualities for job success, and a working knowledge of employment opportunities in the food industry. Culinary courses require students to participate in learning experiences outside the school day including evenings and weekends. Students may participate in an immersive work based learning including operating in school cafes and a mobile food trailer. Schools offering course: BPHS, MVHS, SHS
