Geology is the scientific study of Earth’s structure, history, and processes. Students can take one or both semesters, as they will involve different topics. This course covers topics such as volcanoes, earthquakes, landforms, fossils, dinosaurs, geologic time, minerals, gems, rocks, and erosion. Students will learn to analyze geological evidence, understand Earth’s history, and explore how geological processes affect the environment and society.
