This course explores the elements and principles of art and how they are used to create works of art. Students will learn basic drawing skills that they will apply to a variety of media such as: Graphite (pencil), charcoal, ink, colored pencil, and pastel. A variety of subject matter will be covered including: still life, perspective, portraiture, figure drawing, abstract, and symbolism. Students will be responsible to provide their own sketchbook and some drawing materials.
