Norco High – Introduction to Engineering & Architecture Design 1a-1b

This course is designed to introduce students to design processes, industry standards and tools used in the engineering and architecture fields. Students will develop their spatial visualization and problem solving skills in a "hands-on" laboratory setting. Students will use hand tools to measure, layout and create part geometry, develop architectural and engineering orthographic projections and develop their "hand" craftsmanship. Students will utilize progressive computer aided drafting software to communicate their ideas through the creation of engineering and architectural drawings. Students will understand how to choose which drawing tool to use to be most efficient in the workplace. Students will produce hard copies of the completed drawings and provide electronic files in a variety of graphic outputs.
