Norco High – Teen Parenting 1a-1b

This course provides the perspective teen parent with information and skills that will help them adjust to their situation and make wise choices concerning their pregnancy. The course will include: instruction on heredity; environment; prenatal development; prenatal health hazards; prenatal care; preparation for childbirth; labor; birth; and the needs of the mother and newborn infant. The essential learnings in each of these areas will help the student become more confident and prepared thereby benefiting both the parent and the developing fetus.
Prerequisites: and submit proof of negative TB skin test
