This course focuses on developing students understanding of contemporary media's Influence on all aspects of today's world. Students will employ their understanding of contemporary media methods, skills and processes to create personal artistic statements. Students will learn visual and media literacy concepts, develop critical viewing and analysis skills, examine social responsibility and ethics Issues, cover the elements and principles of design and study contemporary media artists. Students will also apply their knowledge and skills to demonstrate their understanding by creating Individual and group projects, writing weekly journals, making group presentations, taking traditional written tests, reflections, and written critiques.
