Norco High – Applied Accounting 1a-1b

This course is an introduction to accounting principles related to small business operations for both merchandising & service oriented enterprises. The emphasis is on the development of skills to record business transactions for cash & accrual methods, in addition to the process of preparing financial statements & completing the accounting cycle. Students will perform tasks related to special journals, subsidiary ledgers, & payroll & banking procedures. Completion of this course & Computerized Accounting 1A/1B, with a 'B' grade or higher, will give students the opportunity to earn the Small Business Accounting Certificate & college credits, through an articulation agreement with Norco College.
Prerequisites: Computerized Accounting 1A/1B required for the Small Business Accounting Certificate (Norco College)
