Introduction to Culinary Arts is an introductory course that will prepare students to enter the Food Service and Hospitality pathway. This course will provide students with the foundational knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation, kitchen equipment, proper industry terminology, nutrition, as well as American and International cuisine. Students will use kitchen equipment, supplies, products, and procedures in an interdisciplinary approach to culinary arts. Students will develop their skills through practical, hands on training that meets industry standards.
