This course is an introduction to computerized accounting, integrating the principles of accounting to an automated computerized system in use by many companies, & accounting professionals. The course will introduce students to QuickBooks accounting software & will focus on competency with the software, & the accounting principles on which it is based. Students will perform tasks, such as using accounting software to calculate accounting formulas, analyze & solve problems, & apply accounting principles used in manual accounting systems to computerized accounting systems. Students will have the opportunity to earn QuickBooks certification by successfully completing the certification exam at the end of the course. Completion of this course & Accounting 1/Applied Accounting 1A/1B, with a 'B' grade or higher, will give students the opportunity to earn the Small Business Accounting Certificate, & college credits, through an articulation agreement with Norco College.

Prerequisites: Accounting1/Applied Accounting 1A/1B required for the Small Business Accounting Certificate (Norco College)
