Nexton Elementary – Instrumental Music: Guitar 4

Guitar courses provide students an introduction to, and refine the fundamentals of, musicand guitar literature and techniques, such as strumming and chords and may offerinstruction in more advanced techniques. These courses may include bass, ukulele andother plucked string instruments. Formal and informal performances may be included aspart of guitar instructional programs as well as experiences in creating and responding tomusic. Specific course content should align with existing standards for visual andperforming arts proficiency.
Prerequisites: None for Guitar I; Previous Guitar course in the sequence for 2through 4.
