SCHEDULE 1 SEMESTER This course examines dynamics andmodels of individual and group relationships. Students studytopics such as the history and systems of sociology, cultural andsocial norms, social institutions, and mass communication. Thiscourse will describe the development of the field as a socialscience by identifying methods and strategies of researchleading to an understanding of how the individual relates tosociety and the ever-changing world. Students will also learn theimportance and role of culture, social structure, socialization,and social change in today's society. In an increasinglyinterdependent world, students need to recognize how groupbehavior affects both the individual and society.
