Schedule Full Year. This course addresses all of the Principles ofTechnology TEKS SEs. In Principles of Technology, the study ofscience includes at least 40% laboratory investigation andfieldwork using appropriate scientific inquiry. In this course,students conduct laboratory and field investigations, use scientificmethods during investigations, and make informed decisions usingcritical thinking and scientific problem solving. Various systems willbe described in terms of space, time, energy, and matter. Studentsstudy a variety of topics that include laws of motion, conservationof energy, momentum, electricity, magnetism, thermodynamics,characteristics and behavior of waves, apply physics concepts, andperform laboratory experiments. Scientific process skills (processstandards) including safe practices as outlined in the Texas SafetyStandards and the use and conservation of resources areintegrated into the content.
