The Practicum in Entrepreneurship provides students theopportunity to apply classroom learnings and experiences toreal-world business problems and opportunities, while expandingtheir skill sets and professional relationships as a real or simulatedbusiness owner versus the experience one would have as anemployee. Students will prepare for an entrepreneurial career intheir area of interest in their career cluster and build on and applythe knowledge and skills gained from courses taken in an array ofcareer areas. Practicum experiences occur in a paid or unpaidarrangement and a variety of locations appropriate to the natureand level of the student's need for work-based learningexperience. Students implement personal and interpersonal skillsto strengthen individual performance in the workplace and insociety and to make a successful transition to the workforce orpostsecondary education. It is recommended that students arepaired with local business owners or employers in their specificindustry program of study.
