Advanced Transportation Systems Laboratory provides theopportunity to extend knowledge of the major transportationsystems and the principles of diagnosing and servicing thesesystems. Topics in this course may include alternative fuels suchas hybrid, biodiesel, hydrogen, compressed natural gas (CNG),liquidized natural gas (LNG), propane, and solar; total electricvehicles and power trains; advanced transportation systems suchas collision avoidance, telematics, vehicle stability control,navigation, vehicle to vehicle communications; and othertechnologies. This study will allow students to have an increasedunderstanding of science, technology, engineering, andmathematics in all aspects of these systems. This will reinforce,apply, and transfer academic knowledge and skills to a variety ofrelevant activities, problems, and settings. (Skyline, Spruce)
