Nathan Hale High School – Life Skills

This course is for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEP). The main emphasis is the development of skills all students will need to use in their adult life. It concentrates on communication skills, writing skills, reading skills, analysis skills, conflict resolution, family finances and household budgeting, and planning skills. The students will develop social skills used at the work site and in the family unit. Students work toward their annual IEP goals through assignments from the general education curriculum in addition to specially designed instruction provided by the instructor.
Prerequisites: Instructor recommendation and an IEP
Grades: Grade 9-12
