This course provides advanced training in digital photography and includes instruction in composition and color dynamics in the field of digital media. The course focuses on the communication of ideas through photography, as well as light and environmental controls. Students use digital cameras, scanners, computers and high-end printers to produce projects related to the industry. Training in the use of specialized software for photo editing and image manipulation is incorporated into the instructional plan. This course is part of the Design, Visual, and Media Arts career pathway. Paid and unpaid internships are part of the course curriculum.
