Prerequisites: Students learn advanced chemistry topics from real world situations through forensic investigations. Topics of study will include the history of forensic science and disciplines such as fingerprinting, questioned documents, entomology, anthropology, DNA analysis, serology, trace evidence, pathology, law and ethics and current legal issues affecting the field of forensic science. Students will apply their knowledge to the investigation of simulated crime scenes and participate in mock trials.50% of the course will be used for labs and hands-on activities. (Prerequisites: SC430 Biology and SC440 Chemistry) (Laboratory science)
