Mojave High School – Intermediate Orchestra

This one-year course is designed for students who have developed skills beyond those outlined and described in the Middle School Orchestra Syllabus. Students must have completed at least two years of orchestra in middle school. It includes further development of those skills necessary to become independent as a musician. The course emphasizes the place of string music in the students' musical heritage and the development in style, articulation, dynamics, rhythmic patterns, and tone throughout history.
Prerequisites: "C" or better in middle school orchestra/Teacher Recommendation
