Mojave High School – Contemporary Problems

This one-year course is a study of current event issues on local, state, national, and global levels. The course is designed to prepare students to develop speaking and listening skills, as well as develop presentation skills, and participate as a contributing member in group activities. Students will evaluate the social, political, and economic implications of current social issues. Students will use analytical, logical, and creative thinking skills to locate and describe environmental problems on the local, regional, and global leveL. Finally, students will identify careers related to the study of political, economic, environmental, or social problems.
