This course is a survey of Mass Media designed to provide students an introduction to the various forms of digital media. Students will be introduced to various forms of storytelling through radio/podcasting, television, film, broadcast journalism, and other forms of mass media. Through the study of these areas, students will develop media literacy and skills necessary to create and produce in a changing media environment. In addition to media theory, students will learn the technological, operational, and creative aspects of producing media content. A lab fee will be charged.
