In GIS 4, an MSDE approved course, students will learn and apply Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst. The ArcGIS Spatial Analyst extension allows students to examine the spatial relationships within a specific area as well as study site suitability. The ArcGIS 3D Analyst extension allows students to gain a different perspective on their environment by modeling surfaces three dimensionally. Students will also learn methods of integrating external hardware in order to incorporate real time data from GPS units to accurately survey their community. Available at Meade High School only. The suggested course sequence is as follows: A survey of history, development and philosophy of law enforcement. Introduces the local, state, and federal agencies involved in the administration of criminal justice. The court and trial process are included.
