This is a one semester, introductory cybersecurity course. The overarching goal of the course is to introduce students to the foundational concepts, principles, and tools of cybersecurity. The course covers 4 big ideas outlined in the National cybersecurity curriculum guidelines: ethics, establishing trust, ubiquitous connectivity, data security, system security, adversarial thinking, risk, and implications. Students will study historical events, relevant laws & policies in privacy and security, and social and economic implications of digital technology.
