Mead High School – String Orchestra A & B

The String Orchestra is a group of dedicated and talented string players who desire to explore music at the high school level studying composers from the Baroque to 21st Century. Students will develop fundamental performance skills through a variety of sight-reading, rhythm and technique building curriculums. Through a variety of High School grade-leveled literature the String Orchestra will develop consistent musicianship skills, team-work and artistic expression. The orchestra has an active rehearsal, performance and travel schedule with school, community and festival performances both in and out of state. Membership is for the full academic year. Current membership in ASB ($45) is required.
Prerequisites: Minimum of two years prior instruction and/or experience
