Course Criteria: Students may not enroll in an Option ii Social Studies class while taking the Asian American & Pacific Islander Studies course. Using the Framework from the Asian American Research Initiative, students will learn about identity, imperialism, migration, citizenship, race, resistance, community, solidarity, reclamation, and joy. The interdisciplinary course will allow students to learn from texts across disciplines and types, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, video, photography, music, and art.
