Mauldin High – Instrumental Music Band 9 (H)

Instrumental Music Band 9 (H) is a course designed for advanced 12th grade musicians. Students entering Band 9 Honors must be able to successfully play SCBDA Senior Level scales and sight-reading requirements and concert music ranging from grade 5 to 6. Students will be expected to consistently demonstrate a mature characteristic tone quality on their instrument. This class is performance based and as a result is directly tied to co-curricular activities. Participation in auditions and concerts outside of the regular school day are required. Students enrolled in this course will be required to participate in winter and spring concerts, SCBDA Concert Performance Assessment, Greenville All-County Band auditions and clinic, SCBDA Solo and Ensemble and other performances determined by the school Director of Bands.
