Yoga Icombines movements from Yoga and Pilates. The focus of this class is on motor learning strategies, body awareness, stress reduction, breath work, balance, and functional movement. The student gains muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. Areas of study include, but are not limited to, movement forms, movement concepts and principles, physically active lifestyle, physical fitness, personal and social behaviors, cultural awareness, and personal enjoyment. Reading, writing, speaking, and research strategies are integrated throughout the course. Course Description: Yoga/Pilates II builds on the skills acquired in Yoga/Pilates I. The goal is achievement of healthy behaviors  that endure throughout life.
