This program prepares students to learn the art of protecting networks, devices, and data from unauthorized access, preventing cyber-attacks, and minimizing their impact. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment or advanced training in a variety of occupations in the information technology industry. The structure is intended to prepare students to complete the CompTIA A+ and Network+ industry certifications. Includes: CTS0082 Computer Systems Technician (300 hrs), CTS0083 Computer Network Technician (150 hrs), CTS0084 Computer Networking Specialist (150 hrs), CTS0069 Computer Security Technician (300 hrs). Total: 900 hours (8 months).
Prerequisites: Applicants must apply to MTC and complete a To-Do List on the MTC dashboard. The Basic Skills Assessment must be taken within 6 weeks of the admit date unless exemption criteria have been documented per State Statute.
