Manatee Technical College – Baking and Pastry Arts

This program focuses on preparation, presentation, and serving of a wide variety of baked and dessert goods; leadership, communication skills, employability skills, and safe/efficient work practices in the kitchen environment are also covered. Includes: FSS0090 Pastry Cook/Baker (300 hrs), FSS0091 Pastry Chef/Head Baker (300 hrs). Total: 600 hours (6 months).
Prerequisites: Application to MTC, completion of a To-Do List on the MTC dashboard, and a Basic Skills Assessment (must be taken within 6 weeks of admit date unless exemption criteria are documented).
