This program focuses on refinishing skills; sheet metal repair skills; frame and unibody squaring and aligning; use of fillers; paint systems and undercoats; related welding skills; related mechanical skills; trim-hardware maintenance; glass servicing; and other miscellaneous repairs. Includes: ARR0140 Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing Helper/Assistant, ARR0141 Automotive Refinishing Technician, ARR0312 Non-Structural Damage Repair Technician, ARR0022 Damage Analysis and Estimating, ARR0112 Automotive Collision Welding, Cutting and Joining, ARR0295 Structural Damage Repair Technician. Total: 1400 hours (12 months).
Prerequisites: Applicants must apply to MTC and complete a To-Do List on the student dashboard. The Basic Skills Assessment must be taken within 6 weeks of the admit date unless exemption criteria have been documented per State Statute.
